Oxfordcaps, a tech-enabled student housing company, has raised USD 8 million in Series A funding led by Times Internet. Existing investors Kalaari Capital and Silicon Valley-based investor 500 startups also participated in this round of funding.
Founded by Annu Talreja and Priyanka Gera, Oxfordcaps provides technology-driven living experience to students in Singapore and India. The online booking platform allows university students to book their ready-to-move-in student accommodation.
OxfordCaps has clocked 30X growth in less than a year and aims to grow its operations across cities like Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Dehradun, Indore, Jaipur, Pune, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad.
The company operates via three sub-brands and caters to students across price segments including Oxfordcaps Premium Residences, Oxfordcaps Student Residences and Oxfordcaps Dorm. It directly works with universities and colleges, both via on-campus and off-campus housing.
India’s residential rental market is pegged between USD 18 billion and USD 20 billion, according to industry estimates.
