Netflix crosses USD 1 billion revenue from Asia Pacific

Netflix has crossed USD 1 billion in revenue from the Asia Pacific region in the first nine months of 2019, registering a 57% growth from $669 million in the corresponding period last year.

The streaming major which has broken down the revenues and subscriber base of its international business for the first time, said it has 14.48 million subscribers in the Asia Pacific region as of September 30, 2019, up from 9.46 million subscribers in the same period last year and nearly tripling from 5.8 million subscribers in the corresponding period in 2017.

Apart from India, the Asia Pacific region comprises of Japan, New Zealand, Australia, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, and Singapore.
