Aug 3:

Samosa Labs, a Hyderabad-based vernacular social media platform has raised USD 7 million in Series A funding from a clutch of investors including Sequoia Capital and Xiaomi. The funds will be used to strengthen the app and increase the user base.

Aug 7:

Wishup, a Delhi-based professional remote assistants providers raised an undisclosed amount as Seed funds from Inflection Point. Details of its fund utilisation plans could not be obtained.

Gurgaon-based pre-school language learning platform OckyPocky raised an undisclosed amount as Seed investment from Ah Ventures. The funds will be used to expand the company’s user base.

Bangalore-based B2B startup ShopX raised USD 35 million as Series A funds from undisclosed investors. The company hopes to fuel its expansion plans using the funds.

Aug 8:

Bangalore-based app developing platform Hansel has raised USD 4 million in Series A round from investors including Vertex Ventures and IDG. The company plans to use the funds for expansion in the US market.

Delhi-based eyewear solutions company Lenskart has bagged an undisclosed amount as Series E funds from Epiq Capital Advisors. Details of the fund utilisation plans were not immediately available.

Epiq Capital Advisors also invested an undisclosed amount as Seed D in Bangalore-based online home rental network Nestaway. The fund utilisation details were not available.

Gurgaon-based O2O logistics firm Shadowfax raised USD 22 million in Series C funding from NGP Capital and Qualcomm. The company will use its funds to fulfil its ambitious target of reaching out to 4 lakh new businesses by 2021.

Bangalore-based education financing startup Propelld raised USD 0.25 as Seed investment from Indian Angel Network. The company did not reveal how it plans to utilise the funds.

Aug 9:

Online learning platform Bangalore-based online learning platform Quizizz raised Series A funding worth USD 3 million from Nexus Venture. The company will utilise the amount to support new products.

Bangalore-based inter-city bus service ZipGo has raised USD 29.17 million in Series B funding from Essel Infraprojects. The company plans to use the funds to upgrade its entire fleet of buses to electric operated ones.

During the same period (August 03 to August 09):

Bangalore-based bike-renting platform Wickedride raised USD 12.19 million in Series A round from Sequoia Capital and Accel Partners. The company’s plans to use the amount could not be ascertained.

Delhi-based online fashion brand StalkBuyLove raised USD 2.97 million in Series A funding from Blue Dynamic and Kalaari. The details of the company’s plans about utilising the funds were not immediately available .

Pune-based integrated legal and management suite Avantis raised USD 1.02 million in Seed funds from TeamLease. The details on utilisation of funds could not be ascertained.

Gurgaon-based sanitary pad manufacturer Carmesi raised USD 0.50 as Angel funds from Team Lease. Fund utilisation plans could not be ascertained.

Delhi-based home rental service Ziffy Homes raised USD 0.12 as Seed funds from Y Combinator. The details about how the company plans to utilise the funds were not immediately available.

Mumbai-based point of sale network provider Mswipe raised an undisclosed amount as Series D funding from Epiq Capital Advisors. Plan utilisation details were not immediately available.
