Startups Funding Roundup – India (August 10 To August 16)

On August 13, Chennai-based e-commerce platform BoonBox raised USD 3.58 million in Series A funding from Ventureast and Orios Venture Partners and Indian Angel Network. The funds will be utilised by the company to strengthen last mile connectivity, upgrade its technology and improve its presence in the ten states of India where it currently operates.

On August 15, Observe.AI, a Bangalore-based startup that provides artificial intelligence to call centres, announced raising USD 8 million in Series E funding from Nexus Venture Partners, Liquid 2 Ventures, Hack VC, Emergent Ventures India and Y Combinator. The details of the company’s fund utilization plans could not be ascertained.

On August 10, Gurgaon-based online marketplace ShopClues announced that it had raised USD 16.65 million from a clutch of investors including,,,, Fund utilization plans were not immediately available.

On August 10, Pune-based food-on-demand platform Faasos raised an undisclosed sum as Series C funds from undisclosed investors. Fund utilization plans could not be immediately ascertained.
