OnePlus launches smartphone in the US

Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus, whose high-end products are little known outside a tech-savvy niche, has entered the US market on October 29 with the backing of two key local allies and without facing any questions from US regulators.

It is set to launch its OnePlus 6T smart phone exclusively at the carrier’s stores on November 1 with a starting price of USD 549, says T-Mobile.

Backed by chip-making giant Qualcomm and mobile operator T-Mobile US Inc, the alliance makes OnePlus the third Chinese smartphone maker to ink a partnership with a US carrier.
